They say that insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Well, I drove up to San Jose yesterday, only to find that my key wouldn't turn in the lock. I kept on taking it out, putting it back in, and jiggling it to no avail. I considered my options. If I needed to call a locksmith in the morning, I needed to find a hotel room, but it was 1 AM, so I thought that it would be tough to find a room. I could go back to Fresno and come back the following morning, which I really didn't like.
So I went back to jiggling the key and swearing...when suddenly the key started to turn in the lock. I opened the door, grabbed a can of WD-40, and sprayed it in the lock. The key and the bolt continued to move freely. I tried it today, and it still was working well.
So insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result...except when you get a different result.
I now have a working toilet in the spare bathroom, and moved stuff out of the master bathroom into the spare one. I had to wait 3 hours for the plumber and it took him 2 hours to fix the toilet and a faucet. Now that I have a working bathroom, I'm wondering if I should just wait to fix the master bathroom until after I get a job.
