I was trying to access the San Jose Public Library online catalog for the last couple of days but got a 404 not found error. I thought that my computer was acting up. Instead, the site really was down.
Today, the site was up. I searched it and found that they didn't have the third book of a series that I've been reading. Why do they have an entire series except one book? Maybe someone lost it. I looked for another book that I wanted, and tried to reserve it, and found that my local branch wasn't listed as one of the available branches.
Then I tried to buy the third book on Amazon.com. I found a used copy of the book for $7.00, including shipping. I went through the order process, but when I click the Place Your Order button, nothing happens.
I think that I need to take a nap.
Edit: Well, from messing around, I discovered how to do an inter-library loan (as opposed to an intra-library loan), and I can get the third book that way. Now I'm running over to the local library branch to get them to add the branch to the list of branches.
Edit 2: They're closing my local library branch for remodeling. Bah.
