I've been surprised that some of the people who have been doing work around my place have charged me less than the estimate. Today, I had the manual lock on my garage door replaced, and the guy charged me half of the estimate. I said to him that I wouldn't argue....

My current task is to pack up my books to prepare for painting. However, I don't have a lot of room for them in the garage, so I'm carrying up boxes from the garage and emptying them. I have a backlog of things that I'm giving away on Freecycle. I might pare my stuff down to a reasonable amount yet.
