Preparing for painting

I'm in the middle of packing up all my books. I've finally reconciled myself to throwing out books. I have some books that are too old to sell at a used bookstore, so I'm throwing them out. I'm telling myself that I'm making room for more interesting books. I'm particularly proud of getting rid of my Psychology books from college. I have a large stack of books to sell too.

Mom is probably flying out next Tuesday to help me paint. I have no worries that I'll get my packing done, get the paint, and get the ladder that I need before she gets here, but I might have a mad dash of cleaning before she comes.

I dropped the car off to be fixed on Monday. I rented a PT Cruiser, which is kind of fun to drive. It's the same car (including color) that my mom has, so it'll be weird if I still have the car when she comes out.

I've exchanged e-mail and phone calls with a couple of recruiters. I don't know if anything will come of it.
