The ladder
May. 10th, 2008 11:31 amI rented a 10-foot ladder to reach the highest parts of the ceiling to mask off for painting. Apparently when they dropped it off this morning, I didn't hear the doorbell, so they left it on my patio. It was standing straight up and leaning against the wall.
When I got up and saw the ladder, I tried to pull it forward, and it smacked me in the face. Ladder 1, Adrienne 0.
I mulled over the possibility of leaving the ladder on the patio, but I didn't want to be responsible if it got stolen. I went and put on some gym shoes, and thought a bit. I went out and slowly walked the ladder out until it was lying flat on the floor of the patio. Then I pulled it into my living room/dining room. I started to turn it around, but it hung up on some bookcases and boxes. I was able to lift up the other end and pull it into my living room.
The ladder is lying there now looking innocent. The cats, however, are nowhere to be found. Smart kitties. My face hurts -;)
