Wanted: Painter. Will supply paint.
Jun. 5th, 2008 08:58 amI got two estimates from painters. One was much lower than the other, so Mom and I decided (after discussion) to go with him. I got a bad vibe from him, but okay.
He's driving me nuts. I called him back and asked him when he could start. He said, "Thursday" (of last week). I had a doctor's appointment on Thursday, so I asked him if he could start early next week. He said that he'd check in with me over the weekend.
Sunday night he calls (at 9:30 PM!) and says that he's booked up until Friday or Saturday of this week. He said that he'd check in on Wednesday (today).
Today he didn't call. I finally called him at 9:30 PM (tit for tat), and he said that he won't be free until early next week or maybe Saturday if his team is willing to work Saturday. I'm supposed to call him back tomorrow to tell him how much paint I have. At least that's a step in the right direction.
At least I've been able to move stuff off counters, shelves, etc. into the living room without a mad panicked rush. That's been easier on the kitties too.
