A great day to go to the beach

I found myself thinking today that it would be a good day to go to Santa Cruz. Um, well, maybe not. Bit of a drive. Beautiful day though.

Tornado watch?

Well, that's odd. The Civil Defense sirens went off, but as my mom put it, it doesn't look "tornado-y". I got an alert on my cell phone about a tornado watch, but there's nothing about it on the Weather Channel or its Web site, which is where I signed up for the text message alert. My ears keep feeling like they need to pop, like on an airplane, so the pressure is weird.

Or maybe Detroit is being invaded -;)
