The Roller Coaster Known as a Job Search
Aug. 17th, 2012 02:29 amWhen we last left our intrepid hero (ahem, I mean me -;)), the college from Illinois very apologetically turned me down for an onsite interview.
Today they changed their mind, and e-mailed me to ask if I was still interested and was available for an onsite interview. I said "Yes," because I really liked the people (well, as much as I could get an impression of them from the interviewing process thus far).
They did say that several people had "dropped out," and I'd like to know why, but I think that it would be better to ask in person.
I mentioned to them that we were short a person on my current job, and said that I had to work with my manager to see what was possible. I also "happened to mention" that I have a Skype interview next week with another school.
I had a phone interview this week with the university in a suburb of Baltimore, and I think that it went okay, but not great.
I'm just trying to float along on the ride. Who knows where I'll wind up....
