Today was my last day at work. I'm still processing it. However, I distinguished myself by tripping and falling down the stairs on the way out of my exit interview. Way to make a dramatic exit -;)
(Yes, I'm okay. My knees hurt a bit when I stand up or sit down, but it's not excruciating. And after all, this is the position at which there was a car accident right before my interview, so somehow it's fitting. I think that I cracked a rib in that accident too, which I never told them. And I still managed to pull off the interview. I'm tougher than I appear.)
When I got home, I was too keyed up to do homework, so I was soothing myself by doing what we would call at IBM "administrivia". I just had posted a list of stuff to give away on Freecycle...
...When the power went out. I have one of the two Brooklyn lanterns in with me (I gave the other to my mom), and my laptop is running off of a battery, obviously. This made me laugh though.
I was going to book a hotel for us to stay in after the move, but I don't know if I'll be able to read the numbers on the credit card.
My mom gave me the list of books to give away (I'm looking them up on Amazon to see which ones would be worth the effort to sell), but I think that's really not going to work right now.
I'm glad that I've already taken off my contact lenses....
Well, whoops. I didn't think about the fact that my router is down, and therefore I can't connect to the Internet.
I guess that I'll go to sleep.
I couldn't have posted my homework anyway.
Okay, the power's back on, so I can go to bed now.
