I found cheap blueberry, raspberry, and blackberry plants at Meijer, so I can cancel my order at the more expensive nurseries. Except that I discovered that my blueberry needs another different variety of blueberry for cross-pollination. So I've been looking for other varieties that bloom at the same time but don't cost and arm and a leg. Sheesh, it's like Match.com for blueberries.
I don't know what to do with the plants due to the wacky weather. I settled on putting them in the basement with the florescent light on during the day (if I remember to turn it on). I need to at least get temporary pots for them ASAP.
Oh, and I thought of using large plastic organizing bins as pots, but (I think ?) that my mom said that they wouldn't work. A new book that I received on vegetable container gardening shows exactly that. Must learn to trust my instincts.
