Hmm. If I'll be a walking advertisement for the makeup that I'm going to sell, can I write it off on my taxes? What if I'm using it in videos that point to my makeup sales Web site? Somehow, I think that the IRS would frown upon it, which is too bad.

I did buy some blazers and shirts (at $37.50 off the normal price) despite my Internet service slowing down to a crawl. Fie on you, Comcast. I also watered the garden and partially cleared stuff off of the kitchen floor. And I signed up for some Facebook BloNo online garage sale sites (basically using Facebook as Craigslist, but the stuff being sold on there tends to be cheaper than stuff sold on Craigslist).

Now I'm going to do kitty maintenance and crawl into bed with some makeup technique books that I bought. And I'll even be accomplishing something constructive!

Today was a lot less humid, thank goodness, although I'm still trying to remember to drink lots of water. I still stayed in during the day, although I feel much better than yesterday.

I set up an e-mail address for my makeup sales and also a Google Voice number, which will not ring my cell phone because I don't want to get in trouble for working on another business while I'm at work. I just need to train myself to check my voicemail before and after work, and on my lunch hour.

I need to train myself to do as much as I can in the time that I have, especially during the week. A 10-minute walk is better than no walk (although 20 minutes or a half-hour would be better). I wrote a list of short tasks that I can work on during the week because I'm usually too tired to take on major tasks when I get home from work.

I picked up the new bicycle! And I love it! The bike got its first compliment already. I was struggling to get the bike into the car, and a nice guy came over and helped me, and he commented that it was a nice bike. (I did manage to get it out of the car by myself when I got back home. Go me. I need to find a bike rack that will work with a hatchback. But right now, it's going to only go back and forth to Constitution Trail, which is near my house.) I can't wait to ride it next weekend! It's a big old tank of a one-speed bike, so I'm less worried about crashing with it than the nicer bike that I own, but don't ride. It's a really cute bike though. It's kind of girly, which in a very weird sort of way, is more reassuring. Heavy though--it's 50 pounds. Hell, bringing it up and down the basement stairs will be good exercise; the bike and I almost took a tumble down the stairs until I figured out how to brace myself.

And that about sums up my exciting life....Things are rolling in a positive direction.
