I'm glad that I spent the time getting my plants and table off of the deck last night because they had power-washed it by the time that I got up this morning. It's amazing what power-washing can do, but actually, I liked it better dirty. They also put some sealant on it later today. I wish I knew when they're going to stain it. Harlee was in the office, and I planned to keep her there tonight in case they stained the deck tomorrow morning, but she bolted out when I entered the office. Oh well, I hope that I wake up if they come in (although if they came in this morning, I didn't wake up).

I received my Independent Younique Presenter's Starter Kit and also the clothes that I ordered. I came home completely exhausted (in fact, I fell asleep for 45 minutes tonight at work, so I brought my laptop home), but that gave me a little boost of energy. I set up a "virtual party" on my Independent Younique Presenter web site. I ordered a mineral foundation for myself, some catalogs, and a bunch of mascara. My plan is to offer a mascara to salon owners in exchange for allowing me to leave a catalog and a bunch of business cards at their salon (and I hope that the salon owners will become evangelists for the mascara). I set up business cards on VistaPrint, but VistaPrint ate the order. I wanted to order address labels as well, so I'll order them both tomorrow.

I'm also excited about the clothes. I splurged and bought a champaign-colored dress with a jacket with beaded edges (for $30 off). I wished that I could wear it to the opera, but the opera in Chicago is outrageously expensive. So I looked at the one in Saint Louis (I'm roughly halfway between the two cities), and they're playing The Marriage of Figaro, which I've always wanted to see, on the week before my birthday in November. Tickets for the "cheap seats" cost only $35. So I thought, okay, that (well, plus the dress) will be my birthday present to myself. But then I saw a sign advertising the Cirque du Soleil, which I've always wanted to see and will be in Bloomington the week of my birthday. Decision, decisions....

Harlee keeps coming in and meowing at me, so I think that I'm being summoned. Plus I really need to go to sleep.

I woke up around 10, and was debating whether to go back to sleep for a while, when I heard banging on my front door. It was the guys painting the decks, and they wanted someone to move their car because they'll be spraying, but it wasn't my car. They apologized for knocking on my door. They've painted the deck, which is great because I'll be able to put the plants back out tomorrow. And they didn't come in the unit; they jumped over the fence of the deck (which is impressive).

After breakfast, I tried to take a nap--but someone else started mowing. Okay, okay, I guess that I need to stay up -;) I am really tired though.

My neighbors are having a community barbeque, but I don't think that I'll go because I have stuff that I want to get done.

I'd like to take a ride on my new bike, but right now, it's surrounded by plants in the basement. Maybe tomorrow. I'll at least go for a walk. I might try a Zumba DVD too. I really want to get into shape before I go to California next year.

I also want to condition my hair and try my new makeup! I ordered business cards, and tried to order labels, but VistaPrint ate my label order. They are getting a bit annoying. I'll try again later.

And I need to run errands tonight.

Garage Sale

The BloNo Facebook garage sale site for "nicer" stuff added me, but other sites did not. Anyone have any ideas how I could have a garage sale without a garage? I looked for flea markets, but there's nothing that an individual rather than a business can join.
