Good Night, Illinois

Weird day. I started getting myself together to go to the party, even loaded the car with the boxes for Laura, but decided that I was feeling too exhausted and shaky to go for a long drive in Labor Day traffic to a place to which I hadn't driven before, possibly in a storm. So I took a nap, and wound up sleeping for four hours.

When I got up, I found that Comcast had slowed my Internet access down to a crawl, so I watched Good Morning Vietnam in honor of Robin Williams and did some mending. It was quite good, with a twist that I didn't expect. I recommend it.

Now I'm going to read for a while--I have some books on network marketing that I bought--and then go to sleep.

Day of Rest? Not Really....

Hmm. I was feeling better, but then my stomach went all acidy. Just shoot me -;) I hate summer in Central Illinois. I can't tolerate the humidity as well as I did when I was younger. And it does feel somewhat humid in here despite the air conditioning. Oh well. I'll live.

Harlee has been doing better ever since I started giving her a can of wet food in addition to her dry food. And the wet food seems to be helping with her IBS too. I still need to e-mail the vet to consult about her food, but I want to keep giving her the wet food and see how she does. I never thought that I'd be so glad to hear her bitch at me.

I need to catch up on a lot of homework today. Technically the class ends today, and the new one starts on Monday. Our instructor extended our assignments into the beginning of next week, but he doesn't want much overlap betwen the classes. I'm way behind, so I need to plough through the readings. And not get so far behind in the next class.

I also need to clean the kitchen because it's a disaster area. And I want to get the bathroom more organized.

I also want to put on my Younique makeup and experiment with selfies. I took some a few days ago, but they didn't come out very well. I need to spend more time experimenting.

And I need to post items on the Facebook garage sale site once my cell phone recharges and I can send the pictures of the items to myself.
