Party?

I might or might not be going to a party in Chicago tomorrow. I have a bunch of boxes, paper goods, and a gas card to give to an old friend from high school who is currently unemployed, and whose house is being foreclosed upon. However, she lives in Kenosha. She suggested coming to a party for my ex-boyfriend Steve's wife's birthday in Chicago (we all knew each other in high school), and give her the boxes there. However, I need directions. She said that she'd get in touch with them and tell them that I'd like to come to the party and need directions, but she forgot. I reminded her tonight, and she got in touch with Steve's wife, but I haven't heard anything from them. So I might or might not be going tomorrow. (I have a feeling that I've gotten lost in the shuffle. But that's okay too; I have stuff that I could do around here.)

I had planned to pick up a bottle of some really good Italian Muscato to bring to the party, but couldn't find it in Lincoln. However, I'm too tired to go looking for it tonight. I do have a chilled bottle of some Californian Muscato that's probably okay in a pinch. Even if I don't go to the party, I might pick up some soda pop White Zinfandel for myself.

I am going to go visit people at my former place of employment on Monday. That'll be fun.

It would behoove myself to go to sleep soon in case I'm making the drive to Chicago tomorrow. My mom thinks that the drive will take three hours. I also need to look up hotels in the area in case I need to stay overnight up there.

The Culprit

I discovered who was eating my tomatoes. I was sitting outside when a squirrel brazenly came up to the deck, rummaged around in my planter for a tomato, and brought it up on the railing of the deck and ate part of it. I was staying very still to see what he would do, but then I said, "You could at least finish it." Then he took off. Nice to know that I'm feeding the neighborhood -;)
