Tiredness Is a Strange Thing
Sep. 19th, 2014 01:07 amMy presentation went well. Then I drove down to Lincoln. By the evening, I was reeling from exhaustion (probably because the adrenaline from the presentation wore off). In the latter part of the evening, I worked on cleaning off my desk (which it sorely needed, and also required me going through my files in my desk and moving some to a filing cabinet) because I was too tired to do do anything that required a lot of energy. I got interested in the cleaning, however, and perked up a little.
When I was shutting things down to leave, I noticed that a light in the upstairs of the library was still on. The upstairs was where the tutoring center used to be, and now nothing much is going on up there. I went upstairs to turn off the light, and noticed that there were several areas that would be great for group study and working on group projects. So I was running around looking at the areas, taking some pictures, and looking for Ethernet drops that we could use if we moved some computers up there for groups to share. (Ideally, it would be good if we could get a computer projector up there, but I'm not holding my breath. I wonder, though, if we could get some sort of microgrant.) So I went from being totally exhausted (and I really was) to being totally stoked. I want to talk to our boss next week and find out what we need to do to make this happen.
I'm tired again, but now I should be tired. I need to look for some meds that I misplaced before I go to sleep though.
And, yes, TGIF.
