Goals for March

Here's my lengthy list of goals for March.

Library-related:
• Register for ALA conference and book travel
• Apply for NMRT grant?
• Apply for assessment grant?
• Editorial for Library Journal
• Write at least one blog post
• Read first volume of the history of the book in America series
• Finish programming class
• Finish Adobe class

Here Comes the Sun

I had a cold this week. I was dragging myself through the week, but on Wednesday, I lost my voice. I was supposed to present to a class, but had to call in sick. I'm slowly getting better, but I'm still a little sniffily. However, I tried something new yesterday. I had to run to Walgreen's to pick a prescription, and I took a book that I've been trying to get through, and went to Culver's (Midwestern fast-food chain) to grab a bite to eat and read. It worked; I got through several chapters, which is better than I've been doing. (However, Lincoln really could use a coffeehouse that's open longer hours. The only one closes at 2 PM on weekends.) I felt more energetic when I got home too, and got some stuff done. The energy seems to be carrying over to today too, so I'm running with it. We got four inches of snow last night, so I was planning to stay home anyway, but the sun is out, which helps. Spring can't get here too soon for me!

It occurred to me that I probably could take music classes at the College for free. (Well, I might have to pay a little for private lessons, but less than it would cost otherwise.) I'm going to investigate that for the Fall semester.
