The Conference Is Over
Jun. 30th, 2015 12:52 amI did make it to San Francisco with a little help on and off of the train. I attended all three days plus of the conference. (Well, there's a closing keynote tomorrow, but I'm not going.) For some reason, I didn't get into this conference as much as previous ones, and felt that many of the sessions were weak. It was still worth doing though.
My knee is slowly getting better. In fact, I started to walk away without my cane at Walgreens tonight, and in general, am walking some steps without the cane. I'm getting sick of the knee brace, especially because it often slides down my leg while I'm walking.
Tomorrow is my "free day" for sightseeing. Because I'm still not sure of my knee, I'm planning on taking the bus around town. It'll be a short day, though, because I'm planning to sleep in (I've been SO tired), and I need to get back early because I'm leaving very early Wednesday morning to get to the train to Reno. That will be a test of my knee because I'll be taking my luggage on a bus, BART, and another bus to get to Amtrak.
This sounds kind of blah, but I am glad that I came. I'm just tired.
