Motivation....
Nov. 5th, 2015 06:43 pmI've been trying to get a sample of a diet system called Thrive (by Le-Vel) for months now. I've been bounced from person to person, and I had almost given up on it, but I got it late last week. It's supposed to help with energy as well as dieting, which is good for the winter because I suffer from seasonal depression.
It gave me energy, yes, too much. I felt wired, shaky, pale, and dizzy. In the evening, I felt like throwing up. I tried a half-dose the following day, with much of the same results. I wound up ripping off the patch that delivers vitamins (?) partway though the afternoon. My stomach was even more upset that evening, and I still felt shaky, queasy, and exhausted the next day, and wound up calling in sick. So no. No Thrive for me. Something in there REALLY disagrees with me.
However, my birthday is in a week, and I've decided that my birthday present to me is to join a gym, and start some other diet regimen if I can find one that doesn't make me sick. I'd like to try Isagenix, but thus far, I haven't found anyone who sells it. I've ordered a sample of "Shakeology". I've inquired about a sample of Plexus. So we'll see how this goes. Shakeology is kind of pricey, so we'll see how this all shakes out (so to speak).
However, I don't know if it's an aftereffect of the Thrive or what, but I'm feeling very motivated. Tonight, I emptied out a box of stuff and cleaned the kitchen, which might not sound like much, but after a full day of work, it kind of is much. Or maybe it's the aftereffect of all the sleep I got when I was home sick. I did sleep most of the day.
Now I need to get organized for tomorrow and snuggle with the kitties....I might be proctoring a test tomorrow at 11, although I haven't heard anything from the student. I need to come in then anyway.
