A Strange, But Good, Birthday
Nov. 12th, 2015 11:43 pmI took the day off of work for my birthday. I slept in, ate breakfast, and lay down for a nap while my meds kicked in, when my phone chimed about an appointment. I had a chat session for a library class that I'm taking. (I'm completely driven by my calendar right now. If it's not on my calendar. I don't remember it.)
Last night, I discovered a Monat (the hair products that I'm selling) event in Champaign-Urbana, which is about an hour-and-20 minutes from here, today and decided to go. So I did a few things around here after the chat session (including appeasing my fuzzy overlords), and left for the meeting. I'm glad that I went. I got some good suggestions on how to deal with some objections that I've been getting, and it was also great to talk to other people who sell the products. (My sponsor lives in Pennsylvania.) I also enjoyed listening to an Audible book on selling on the way over and back. The irony is that I have a library meeting tomorrow in the exact same hotel at which I was tonight. And yes, I had the brief thought that I should stay over, but it's at the Hilton Garden Inn. Pricey. However, the meeting tomorrow starts a half-hour later than I thought, so I'm happy. (Although I'll still have to bug out of here pretty early.) And tomorrow is Friday!
I love the new cream eye shadow that my mom bought me. (Yes, it's from Younique.) If I can get a decent picture of it, I'll post it :)
And I'm 53, which has no meaning whatsoever. Everyone thinks that I'm 35, which is roughly how old I feel, unless I get cranky...or my knees start acting up....
