Four-Day Week

We have a program going on at the college called Summer Bridge, which is for less well-prepared students to improve their skills before the Fall Semester starts. We're going to be open on Sundays in addition to our summer hours. I'm going to be working Sunday-Thursday as a dry run before the term starts because the teachers in Normal asked for remote support for their students on Sundays. I really don't care which days I have off as long as I have two in a row, so I volunteered to work Sunday through Thursday.

I should have started this week on Sunday, but didn't think about that. I'll have to work either this week or next week as a four-day week, so I'm taking Friday as a vacation day. (Added: I do the scheduling for the library, so no one else would have thought about what my hours should be.)

Mimi was asleep in my bedroom this morning while I got ready for work, so I closed the gate and had her stay in there while I was at work instead of Zara. Zara was thrilled. Ever since I let Mimi out, she's been subdued (for her, anyway). She and Zara were even sitting quietly in the kitchen together for a while. (Then Mimi started creeping towards Zara, and I waved the squirt bottle.) I need to figure out how to switch who stays in the bedroom. Mimi doesn't like it when I'm in the bedroom with Zara either. I wish that I could explain to her that if she would just leave Zara alone, we could all hang out together.
