Pokemon Go?

I've been ordering supplies for the library. Apparently one of the part-time workers added a bunch of items to the list without actually checking to see if we had them already. It's probably good that sarcasm doesn't come through in writing. She was looking for Swiffer Duster refills, and there was a box in the supply cabinet. I left her a note saying, "Is this what you were looking for? It was in the supply cabinet." I suppose that it wasn't inherently sarcastic, but it was sarcastic in my mind. (She said, "Yes! I'm going through them like crazy!" Sarcasm missed, which is probably just as well.)

I wound up with some egg on my face today because I thought that the door to the basement was locked. We had a warning of a "severe" storm (and they weren't kidding), so I checked it and it didn't open, so I assumed that it was locked. I went to unlock it, only to find that the lock had been removed. The door was stuck (probably because of all the moisture in the air), but I pulled hard and got it open. Meanwhile, I had told my boss that it was locked. Oops.

I've been strangely fascinated by the Pokemon Go craze, so I installed it on my phone. What I really want to know is if there are "poke stops" on campus, preferably at the library. I don't know if I'll have the moxie to walk around downtown with my phone, visiting "poke stops". On the other hand, I could use a good walk.

Mimi Meow

Mimi was meowing like crazy when I came home for dinner and when I came home tonight. I'm still learning "Mimi-speak," but I think that she was complaining that I left her alone and went to work. She sat on my lap for a while and calmed down. I have to remember that Mimi is a "people-cat". She follows me around and hangs out where I am.
