Day Off

I had originally planned to take today off because I'm working Sunday - Thursday. However, I heard that one of the part-time staff members was having problems with packing up books for interlibrary loan, so I told my boss that I'd work a half-day today and meet with the staff member and work a half-day on Sunday. I posted something on Facebook about it, and the part-time worker figured out that I was coming in to talk to her, and she didn't want me to come in on my day off. We went back and forth, and her paranormal group is meeting in the library on Sunday, so I'll talk to her then. So I did stay home, and it feels luxurious because I thought that I'd have to work.

Right now, I'm doing some work (Younique work, not library) online. Mimi has apparently decided that the office room is HER room, so she's snoozing near me. I need to run an errand tonight, so I'll throw myself together later and go out. I might also do some Pokemon Go stuff downtown (yes, it is addictive), and take a book to read at the coffeeshop.

Added: Oh, I forgot to mention that we've had some Pokemon Go people drive up to my apartment building. They jump out of the car, fiddle with their phones, and drive away. Kind of funny. Though I suppose that might be creepy to someone who doesn't know what they're doing.

I decided to take a "short" nap in the late afternoon, and slept for three hours. At least now I'm well rested. I threw myself together to run some errands. I also stopped by some Pokemon spots downtown, only to discover that the GPS on my phone is only on intermittently. That's really going to cramp my style, but I'm not going to get a new cell phone provider and a new phone. Downtown was full of teenagers checking each other out and revving their engines (ahem), so I decided to leave them to it.

As I've been organizing the kitchen, I've found a plethora of food, including a ridiculous amount of Ramen. I bought a "Ramen cooker" at WalMart, and decided to try it out. It worked okay, but the Ramen tasted like a ton of salt. Blah. (I also made some vegetables to get something nutritious in my system.) I'm determined to eat down my
food though.
