You never know what you'll be working on as a librarian. I spent the evening wrestling with a giant copy of the U.S. Constitution, printed out over multiple pages. (Constitution Day is September 17th. Bet you didn't know that :)) It was kind of a pain because you had to line up the pages right. But I got it taped onto posterboard.

When the Constitution Day display goes down, we're going to put up one for the election. I think that I'll let my boss do that one because I'm working on all three displays right now, and I'm getting burnt out....Besides the Constitution one, there's one for Banned Book Week (which goes well with the Constitution) and one with pictures from yearbooks ("What memories will you make this year?")

After work, I went to WalMart to pick up stuff for the library. I wound up waiting in line for a half-hour. First the line was long, and it took a while for them to bring in another cashier. Then a guy came in with a lawn mower that he wanted to return, and he didn't have a receipt. The cashier was running back and forth between the guy and a manager, relaying responses. I'm toast....

I didn't get a chance to call the people who help seniors. I better get up early enough to call tomorrow because I'm going to talk to my mom tomorrow night. You might hear the explosion from where you are.
