Work has been quiet the last couple of nights. Last week, however, we had two nights during which we had 40 students at one time, so we never know how the evenings will be like. After I got home last night, I was binge-reading a book about how to sell cruises because I have to return it. I want to buy the book, though, but not this month. One interesting thing that I learned is that some of the cruise lines will offer a free cruise if you reach a certain level in training on them. That's worth working for!

The mint has grown perceptibly since I bought it on Saturday. That's a little creepy. Time to start looking for recipes that call for fresh mint. The rest of the plants seem happy; I was wondering if they wouldn't get enough sun. (Though in the winter, I'll probably have to turn on a grow light.) I found a place where I can buy herb plants online, but am not happy with the dill that they sell because it's not the compact variety. I'll keep looking.

I made some whole wheat cheese tortellini that was on a closeout at Kroger with a bottle of alfredo sauce. It was good; I'm tempted to get more. I'm still eating well, with less processed food. (I have to admit that I feel better too, although it's hard to say whether the food is causing it.) I'm debating whether to try some squash recipes this weekend.

I researched possible short trips to Cambridge, Mass. and Asheville, NC, which led me to coin this rule:

Adrienne's rule of travel: if the flight is cheap, then the hotels are expensive. If the flight is expensive, the hotels are cheap. Except for Orlando, and maybe Las Vegas.

Asheville is a definite possibility. Cambridge, like the rest of the Boston area, is ridiculously expensive to stay in. I'll keep looking for cheaper hotels, but I'm not holding my breath.
