I made the chicken salad and put it in the refrigerator. I made the meatballs tonight, instead of last night. (I did pick up more plastic containers.) I should go make the spaghetti, but I'm running out of steam. I've fed two out of three girls. I'm tempted to go to sleep early and get up early.

Next weekend, I get a five-day weekend. (No, that's not a typo.) We get Monday and Tuesday off for Fall Break, plus I'm taking Sunday as a personal day. I've made tentative plans to go visit the friend with the housing crisis on Monday or Tuesday of that week. I'm going to help her pack or move stuff to a storage place, but she also asked for faces to do a before and after makeup application, so I volunteered. She sells Mary Kay and is an esthetician. I hope that I'll pick up some pointers.

I’ve gotten jaded about books published in the 1800s because we have quite a few of them. Tonight, however, I was cataloging a book written by Elizabeth Keckley, who was the dressmaker to Mary Todd Lincoln. The book was published in 1868, and both Elizabeth Keckley and Mary Todd Lincoln were still alive when the book was published. (I think that I read somewhere that Mrs. Lincoln was none too pleased about the book.) For some reason, that book got to me. Too bad that it’s not in the greatest of shape.
