Food, Glorious Food!
Oct. 18th, 2016 12:46 amI've been meaning to make Spinach Mushroom Lasagna in the crock pot for days now, but it requires a fair amount of prep. I get up in the morning when I HAVE to get up in the morning for work, and not one moment sooner. Last night, I got the bright idea to do the prep and layer the food in the crockpot, and then shove it in the fridge until I cooked it. I turned it on during dinner (my lunch). I came home to a wonderful aroma of the lasagna cooking. And it was delish. (In fact, I had seconds, which isn't great for my wallet or waistline, but it was so, so good.) Also healthy and cheap to make. We have a winner! And now I'm a crockpot convert.
I want to (finally) get the kitchen organized so that I can do exercises in there. I have a couple of exercise books. I want to get a book on the Feldenkrais Method, which is a series of exercises to get your body into alignment. I also found a set of videos for free online. I'm trying to figure out how to rearrange the kitchen so that I can put the small TV in there for videos, plus the old laptop.
I've also discovered that the Lincoln Park District offers exercise classes at $4 a session. A lot of them are at times when I'm at work, but there are some in the morning that I could go to if I managed to pry myself out of bed. Worth investigating....
