Tai Chi, Yoga, and Me
Oct. 17th, 2016 12:53 amThere was a New York Times article about improving your (physical) balance. It said that tai chi and yoga can help. I tested my balance, and I'm good on two legs, even with my eyes closed. Balancing on one leg is a problem. (My wobbly knees, I'm sure, aren't helping.)
There's a tai chi class that starts Tuesday morning in Bloomington. I'm trying to decide whether to take it or not. One issue is the money. Another issue is whether I'd get up to Bloomington every Tuesday morning by 9:30 AM. On the other hand, I'm sure that it would help and also be a way to meet new people. The next class after this one is in the dead of winter, and I'm less than thrilled about driving up to Bloomington then.
There also is a yoga class in Lincoln, but I could start that at any time.
It's hot in here. This is the middle of October!
