Laughter Is a Form of Meditation, Right?
Nov. 6th, 2016 01:17 amI have a kneeling meditation bench as well as the two zafus (one round and one crescent). I thought about selling the bench because I figured that with my bad knees, it wouldn't work for me, but I decided to try it. I found to my surprise that's it's easier to maintain a good posture with it, although my feet kind of hurt.
I fed Zara before I meditated in the vain hopes that she would settle down and leave me alone. She came over and bonked my elbow, and I said, "Thanks, Zara, but Mommy's busy." I went back to meditating. Then I felt two paws on my shoulders and a nose burrowing in my hair. I broke up laughing. I went back to meditating, and Zara got the zoomies. Bounce on the bed and cat tree, zoom into the closet (which meant that she ran right past me), etc. I tried to ignore her. Then Mimi started meowing. I did stick it out for the full 20 minutes, and I suppose that I got something out of it :)
Now Harlee is awake and meowing....
