I did dye my hair this morning, and cleaned part of the bathroom. Go me.

I was following the hurricane news while I was at work. I don't think that we'll know much until tomorrow (or later) how bad the damage is. At least it's losing strength.

When I was going to eat supper in front of the computer, I tripped and fell, knocking my spaghetti down. Luckily, the plastic cover was over most of it, but some spaghetti got on the carpet. I also knocked down my track ball, and I couldn't find the ball part. I was ready to cry. Eventually I found the ball.

I fed the cats, and did some work on Java while Zara was eating, and calmed down. I like the Heads First Java book. Hey, I just looked, and there is a Heads First Android Development book too. Awesome.

The weather is weird. It's getting chilly at night (currently 52 F), but is still hot upstairs in my townhouse. I keep feeling either too hot or too cold.

I have homework to do for my HTML/CSS class, so I better get cracking.

Home Sick

When I was doing homework last night, I suddenly felt like I was going to throw up. Every time that I moved my head, I felt very dizzy. I finished my homework through force of will (although I kept on making stupid mistakes, but I fixed them). Then I crawled into bed.

Today, I'll still not feeling well, although not quite as bad as last night. I stayed home sick. My stomach was okay until I smelled Harlee's food, which made me queasy. I fed the hordes and am going back to sleep.

Oh, and I'm glad that the Tampa area (where I might retire) seems to have dodged a bullet. All I've heard about is minor damage.

Hammered

Just woke up. I'm feeling lousy. (Don't know why I'm surprised that I feel sick when I'm sick. I guess that I hoped that it would go away when I slept.) I'm going to try to eat something and see what happens. And then feed the cats, and probably go back to sleep.

Crap

Later on Monday, the Defense Department said that damage to the Keys was so extensive that it might be necessary to evacuate the 10,000 residents who rode out the storm on the islands. -- New York Times

Crap. I like the Florida Keys. I would never live there because there's only one road out of there. I missed my flight on my trip to Florida driving out of the Keys because I hit stop-and-go traffic. I wonder what they're going to do with the 55 cats at the Hemingway House in Key West.

And the power is out in Clearwater, but that's not surprising.
