Cozy Morning

There's something very cozy about sitting in the kitchen with a cat on your lap. Coffee would have made it perfect, but I hadn't made it yet. Unusually, the cat was Zara. She's been more cuddly than usual, so I think that she needs reassurance after being at the vet.

I got 12 hours of sleep, and Mom got 14. I guess that we needed it.

The plan is to wash some clothes, and then hit the thrift shops downtown.

More Thrifting

Mom and I got a late start because we were waiting for her laundry to finish. The vet called me and said that they would refund the money for the night after we picked up the cats, so we went over there first.

Then we went to a thrift store called Old2New. I found a short-sleeved purple top and some navy pants.

Then we gorged on delicious Chinese food.

Then I asked my mom if she'd mind going back to Goodwill so that I could look at pants. I found four pairs: one navy, one burgundy, one black, and one black with pinstripes. Amazingly, only the burgundy one needs to be shortened. (Mom said that she'd pin them up for me.) Mom found a book on China.

All I really need is another navy blazer and a purse.

We came home to discover that Harlee had pooped on Mom's blankets. Sigh. I suppose that's one way to find out that my washer is big enough for a comforter.

Little By Little

I spent some time working on the bedroom tonight. Got all my clothes put away and emptied two boxes.

Mom asked if she could help, and I said that I could use some help organizing the kitchen. She organized two shelves in one of my shelving units. They look great.

We're planning to drop some stuff at Goodwill tomorrow.

I did some work in my year-end planning book, but I think that I'm running out of steam. I'm going to go to bed and do some reading.

Mom said to not let her sleep until noon tomorrow!
