Woke up briefly at 7 AM, then slept until 10:15, hitting the snooze button multiple times. I feel a lot more well-rested and energetic though. Just in time for the work week :)
Got my errands done before work: mailing a letter and some packages, and stopping at the library.
My boss is back at work. Cool beans. I didn't get a chance to discuss vacation time with him. I'm thinking about taking the week of July 4th off, but I have some information due to our consortium on the 9th, so I'd have to get it done before I go.
For those who don't know, I order and catalog books in the library. I also "weed," or remove old books from the collection. And that just reminded me, I reconcile our library credit card, and I need some receipts from my boss. I also manage the library's computer system. We're beginning the process of converting to a new computer system, so I'll be busy with that. We also got a bunch of books from a library that was closing, so I need to catalog them as well.
Went to Dollar Tree over dinner in search of Rosemary and Bay Leaf spices. No dice. No spice?
I got spices, garlic, and navy beans at Walmart. I tried to return the command hooks from my online pickup order, but they told me that I had to call Customer Service. Customer Service didn't have a spot for the grocery in the phone menu tree, so I was bounced around. They put a credit on my account, but I'm still stuck with the command hooks that I don't want. I guess that I can sell them on Facebook Marketplace.
Another possible retirement place: Davidson, NC. It's a college town that has a lake, which ticks two of my boxes. It has a kind of funky downtown. And it's close to Charlotte, and there's a bus into Charlotte during the week. It's a bit pricey, but there are some deals there. Also check out Huntersville, NC. It's also on the lake, but isn't a college town. It's cheaper though. Also Clemson, SC.
I'm going to go to sleep early and get up early again.
Well, I made it through the Friendzy posts. NOW I'm going to sleep. Perchance to get walked on by a cat.
