Mom's Here

Well, we didn't freeze last night. I put on my cleaning sweats when I went to bed to keep warm and be ready for cleaning this morning.

Zara was in the basket that she likes. She climbed on my shoulders then onto my arm and then on my lap. Okaaaay....

My kitchen clock spontaneously fixed itself. The only thing is that the time is an hour off, but I can fix it. Yay.

I've been cleaning the kitchen. Mom hasn't called yet. Finished the kitchen except scrubbing the floors. Called Mom to see when she was leaving, but couldn't reach her. So I made an abrupt change of plans and ate lunch, moved my car, and jumped into the shower. I'll scrub the floor tonight after Mom goes to bed. Mom called back around 2:30 PM and said that she was just getting on her way.

Threw myself together. I'm sitting around playing with my phone and waiting for Mom. I should go fold laundry. Folded clothes.

Mom got here around 6 PM. I was just starting to wonder what happened to her, but she got caught in construction traffic.

We sat and talked for a long time. Bought her stuff in. We had some German Apple Walnut cake, and Mom agreed that it was delicious. Then we went to Steak N' Shake for dinner.

I picked up some cookie mix at Walmart to make cookies for Mom and then some for me. It's a great time of year to bake.

We've decided that an early night is in order. We both couldn't stop yawning.
