Glitches

My Italian lesson was canceled. I'll reschedule for next week.

Ugh. I went to Ace Hardware to get a new car key. They said that it would cost $200. Well, that's better than $300. However, they couldn't tell what the part number is for the remote, so they said that I would need to call the Kia dealer and find out. Somehow, I think that this might not work well, but I'll call.

I had a coughing jag from my Ramen at dinner and wound up peeing. Aargh. I don't want to have to wear pads.

The gym that I like and is under new management now has a keypad to be open 24 hours. I need to stop by there. I don't know when because I'm working Monday-Friday this week and next week.

It was a comfort food night (grilled cheese and tomato soup). I'm going to sleep early so that I can call the Kia parts department tomorrow morning.

Oh, and there's supposed to be a deluge of rain over the next couple of days. Lovely. And it's supposed to turn to snow on Saturday, but at least, not a lot of snow.

New Car Keys!

I didn't wake up early, so I'm going to have to call the Kia parts department from work. Managed to get the part number for the keyless entry fob from the guy (by saying that the cost was too high, and I'll need to gather the money, and could you give me the part number so that I won't have to read off the VIN number again when I call back?), so I'll see if Ace can order the key.

Zara has found a really good hiding spot that I haven't found yet. I heard some scratching last night and was afraid that she was stuck somewhere. But when I got to the point in my morning routine when I feed them, there she was. I swear that she has access to another dimension.

I went to Ace Hardware to order the key. The hardware person tried to order the fob, which is on back order, but the system wouldn't let her order it. She's going to talk to her boss tomorrow about it and asked me to call. Then she cut a car key, but she didn't think that it would start the car. We tested it, and it opened the car and started the car. Far out. I bought two keys for the grand total of $8. Now I'm wondering if I need the keyless entry fob if I can use the key. I'd save $200, which is significant.

I'm really tired. I thought about lying down for a while before posting this entry, but that's silly. I should just go to sleep. Plus, I need to call Ace Hardware tomorrow. But I'm in a lot better mood than yesterday. Nice when something goes right.
