Impromptu Walk
Jan. 8th, 2020 12:11 amNo wonder that I overslept yesterday. I set my alarm for PM rather than AM. That would do it.
I returned a bunch of books to our library. I had the usual overdue books cascade over break (I had too many books overdue to renew any), and now I'm cleaning it up.
I called to make a hair appointment, and my hairdresser is calling me back. I was able to get an appointment on Saturday, and it even isn't at the crack of dawn. I need to get my hair cut and take the girls for their shots this month, so I'm chipping away at the appointments.
Oy. I lost my car key, probably down the center console. It was separated from the remote. I had to walk home and get my spare. Ace Hardware will cut car keys for a lot less than the dealer, so I'll stop there tomorrow and order a key. My fitness tracker is happy about all the steps that I took at least.
Looked at Airbnbs on Lake Garda in Italy, and there are some good deals. (Lake Garda is on my bucket list, and I just bought a guidebook about the Italian Lake District to replace a library book that I needed to return.) Airfare, on the other hand, is very pricey. I wonder if it would be cheaper to fly somewhere with more competition and then take the train. The airfare is cheaper to Rome rather than Milan, anyway. Oh yeah, the total is a lot cheaper even with the train.
Looked at Airbnbs in other places in Italy, and there are some great deals out there!
Gulp...I just signed up for an Italian lesson tomorrow night. Need to do some crash studying.
Looked for a copy of the Python Crash Course, but the best price that I could find was around $20. Hmm, forgot to check Powell's. There are some PDFs of the book floating around, but they're probably bootleg. Not good for a librarian to have.
Got more library books ready to return tomorrow. I'm toast.
