Travel Day

I left at noon, which is an early record for me. I stopped at Meijer to get bread and wound up with popcorn and a pie too :)

Mom wanted me to call when I got past Toledo, so I did. Now I'm at a Waffle House quelling my waffle craving. It was good.

I got drowsy between the Waffle House stop and Dayton, but then traffic slowed down to a standstill. Never found out what that was about, but it speeded up after a while. I got off at the first rest stop after that to take a quick nap. I didn't actually sleep, but I closed my eyes for around 20 minutes.

I stopped for gas about 40 minutes from home, and it was 34 F and raining. Snow would have been warmer than that was. I got home and found that ice covered the outside world. I still managed to haul my suitcase in, and anything that's still in the car will wait until morning. The girls were excited to see me. I found that the pet sitter STILL hadn't given Zara her meds. In the future, I'll use someone else.

Had some pie and spent a couple of hours playing with my phone. I think that I've wound down enough to sleep now.
