Some Progress But Ack

Oh boy. Things are not going well. My chest cold is so bad that I almost threw up this morning. I'll try to leave tomorrow but I'm not hopeful. And the hospice people are still asking for the forms. I wonder if their IT department is blocking the email because of the size of the attachment.

The cemetery emailed me back that they have some niches, so I need to call them back this morning. Last night, I wondered if I could scatter some of Mom's ashes in Florence, Italy, which Mom loves, but it's all kinds of illegal. Plus the person had to have asked for the ashes to be scattered, which she didn't. Oh well. It was just a thought.

The hospice people called and they got the forms. So yay. Mom's going to have a different doctor because her doctor doesn't care for hospice patients.

Oh ack. The cemetery is closed for Good Friday. I didn't think of that. They're open tomorrow morning though. The cemetery person called me back, but I was expecting a call from Mom's friends at the hospital. They called, and I talked, and Mom responded! I didn't expect that. Deanna and Ken said that she was unresponsive yesterday. The cemetery person will call back after class (my last remaining class). Okay, I talked briefly to the cemetery person. The price of the niches vary depending on height. (Eye level is the most expensive.) We're meeting on Zoom so that she can show me the niches next Thursday.

Talked to Mom's new doctor. He seems nice. He was basically telling me what I already knew, that they were doing only comfort care for Mom. He said that it was hard to tell how much time someone has left.

There was a meme going around about planning your epitaph. I think that I want mine to read, "I'd rather be in Hawaii".

I'm feeling dizzy, so I'm lying down for a bit. Coughed and had diarrhea in my pants, so I decided that meant that I needed to stay home. Shut off my alarms and slept for four hours.

Cleared more clothes off of the mudroom. I found my gym bag and swim bag! I need to repack the swim bag with my new suit. I didn't find the carry-on bag that I was looking for though. I need to check the garage tomorrow morning.

Had dinner. I think that I'm going to go to sleep soon and get up early.
