Got my stuff packed up, and I have time for a nap. Awesome.

In the cruise terminal! I’m checked in, but I had been told that my boarding time was 3:30 PM, and it’s 11:30 now, so I guess that I wait? I wonder if they’d stop me from boarding? They said that there would be a restaurant here, but I don’t see one.

It’s well organized, but the bathrooms are missing toilet paper and the stall that I used didn’t lock.

Someone walking by me told me that a guy sitting alone said that he loved me, and we laughed. He said something to me in Spanish, but of course, I didn’t understand.

I think that I might see if I can get on the ship now. The answer is yes. Someone in the elevator saw my gigantic bottle of diet cola and said, “Now there’s someone who’s prepared!” People are in a holiday mood here. Went to my muster station to complete the security briefing.

Now I’m having some pizza. Uh-oh, I found where they keep the desserts and had a scoop of ice cream.

Found my stateroom. I like it. Now I’m trying to figure out what to do (besides fix my makeup, which was melting in the Puerto Rican sun). There’s a tour of the ship at 3 PM.

Oh, by the way, people assume that I speak Spanish. Like my dad, once a French waiter was insisting that he was Spanish, not American.

I missed the tour by being in the wrong spot. Now I’m trying to decide between going to the solo travelers’ soirée or to take a nap. I think that the nap is winning. Plus my foot hurts. Had a nice nap. And I’m thinking of going to bed early! Such a party animal! (The bed is very comfortable.) I don’t know why I’m so tired, but part of the point of this trip is R & R.

I can see how people gain weight on cruises. All the food you want whenever you want. Good thing that I’m skipping lunch on shore excursion days, which is most of the days.

We’re supposed to leave soon. I want to see us leave the dock.

I went by the pool and didn’t see hours listed. I doubt that it’s open all night though? I’m mulling over a dip in the pool, but what do you do with your room key?

It’s raining and we haven’t left yet. (It’s 7:15 PM.) I don’t want to miss our departure. It's 8 PM and we still haven't departed yet. I might be asleep when we leave. Oh well.

I asked where I should go tomorrow for my shore excursion. Deck 1.

I got my laptop connected to the WiFi, so I'll post. I might go up and get one more Diet Coke because I'm paying an arm and a leg for it. But I'll crash soon.
