Like deja vu all over again
Aug. 14th, 2004 04:30 pmOy.
After the paint dried, and I closed the front door, I went to let the cats out of the bedroom. Random was unfazed and in high spirits.
Harlee was nowhere to be found. I assumed that she was under the bed, because there was nowhere else that she could be. I had a flashback to the time when I first got her, and she literally spent an entire month under the bed or other furniture.
However, I wanted to take a nap. While I was dozing off, she was doing something that shook the bed, so at least that verified that she was there.
When I awoke, she was up against the wall at the head of the bed, where I could see her. I tried letting her sniff my hand, but she scrambled backwards. I tried petting her, and at first she purred a little, but then she scrambled backwards. I was talking to her the whole time. Eventually she had her nose sticking out from under the bed, and I thought that she might leave if I left.
So I stood in the doorway and talked to her. She talked back, and we had quite a conversation -;) She followed my voice out of the room (phew!) and she ran into the living room (where Random and she normally live).
Random has been hissing at her.
Did I say "Oy"?
