Quick update
Oct. 3rd, 2004 04:05 pmIt's been a glitch-ridden week. I had a cracked molar that has since broken, so I made a dentist's appointment for this week. It turned out that they never sent my proof of insurance to the dentist, so they wouldn't see me. The gum near the tooth had swelled up, so I was a little upset and frantic. Loud whining got me a rescheduled appointment for this week (they wanted to schedule me farther out), and I spent a lot of time arguing with the insurance company before they acknowleged their error. Hopefully everything will work out this week.
I ran late to my voice lesson, missed the train, and was late to my lesson. However, my teacher wasn't there, and the people in the music store told me that she canceled her lessons for that day. I shrugged my shoulders and left. (I didn't really mind that much because I still enjoy the trip. 20 years fall off of me; something about taking public transportation and carrying books in a big backpack and going to the lesson makes me feel younger. And I wound up sitting on the floor waiting for the BART train and blocking out a poem. Now I just need the time to finish it.) It turned out that first she called when I was talking to my mom, and then my spam filter hid her e-mail.
I've been getting magazines that I didn't order (including ahem, Men's Journal?!?) so I need to find out what's up with that.
I'm still feeling really time-pressed. We're trying to get a book out for review the week after next, so I'm going to cancel my private lessons next week, but still go to my classes because they won't wait for me (of course).
