Out with the old, in with the new
Oct. 25th, 2004 12:53 amCraig's List works. I wanted to sell my old digital piano keyboard this weekend, and got around 20 responses. I've been busy fielding tons of e-mail responses and phone calls (which started at 11 today--I suppose that could've been worse). But I sold the keyboard, and it's gone. I felt a pang when he took it away, a little like how I felt when I got rid of the old Mazda when I bought the Honda. Apparently I'm a sentimental fool.
Tuesday is going to be a three-ring circus. They're delivering the new digital piano. I also found a new computer desk for cheap to replace my old one, on which the keyboard tray falls off. The desk is being delivered on Tuesday too, and someone is coming to take the old computer desk away, plus some other stuff that I've been meaning to take to the dump. I'm going to herd cats and play traffic cop. (I'm mulling over taking a vacation day because I don't think that I'll get a lot of work done with all that going on. At least when I have the new computer desk set up, I'll have a much better set-up for working from home.)
I'm also mulling over whether it's time to leave LJ. That discussion would take much longer than I have time to write right now. To put a dry economic spin on it, I think the costs are starting to outweigh the benefits.
