Erik figured out how to fix the desk:

It took several hours of time to painstakingly move and assemble the big pieces. I really appreciate his help. I'm really going to enjoy the desk. He also replaced my showerhead (Erik informed me that my role in all this was "paying for it!") and I'll enjoy that too.

Actually, there's some friction between Nima (the tabby) and the other two cats. I was surprised and pleased to see Nima and Harlee sitting together like that.

The Desk Looks Great!

Just to let you know I'm home and that the desk looks really cool! What was the secret to getting it together and stable? Did you use L-brackets or something else....

The girls look cute on the loveseat. Has anyone decided to use the space under the desk as a cave or lurking place?

It feels strange not to be on the West Coast anymore. It will take a little time to re-adjust.

Thanks! Putting on the backing helped stabilize the legs a lot. We also used L-brackets and glue. The biggest help, though, was that we assembled the desk over in the corner where it was supposed to go, so we didn't have to move it.

Nima occasionally hides in the corner behind the desk, but mostly they're been ignoring it. I'm surprised.

By the way, I'm hoping to attend choral concerts on Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night, so I won't be available for our phone call this week. (I'll also e-mail you in case you don't see this.)
