What next?

I seem to be caught in another entropy field:

• The front door is sticking badly. I have a tough time locking it.


• The keyboard tray on my new desk fell off, and now one of the rails with the wheel is loose.


• I leaned back in my desk chair, and now the back of the chair is loose and tilting backward.


• I'm having problems with my new laptop.


• I tried calling my mom yesterday, and didn't reach her, and didn't get her answering machine. I called today with the same result, and that's when I started to freak out. I looked for her cell phone number, and couldn't find that. Finally, she called me with her cell phone when she realized that her phone wasn't working, so this one has a happy ending. I hope that it isn't a big hassle to get her phone fixed.

Bah.

Glad it was a happy ending! I do the same thing - if I can't get my parents on the land phone (in the evenings when I know they should be home), I freak (especially if they don't answer the cell phone). I can't tell you how many times Jim & I have driven over only to find that Piwi "made a phone call" (she loves to knock the phone off the hook!), or that for some reason the phone wasn't working & they didn't know it!

Well, my mom and I had planned to talk on Friday, so that made me wonder right away what was up....I think part of the reason that I freak is that I can't drive over. (She's in Detroit.)
