Boy has it been hot. Really hot. The high a couple of days ago was 97 degrees, and it's stayed in the mid-90's since then. The cats and I are stuck in a hot condo with no air conditioning.

I've been worried about the cats, but they're coping. I've barely seen Harlee because she's been hiding under the fireplace. It has cool ceramic tile and pictures in front of it to make it dark under there. Nima's been hanging out in the bathroom.

I've had a couple of dizzy spells. I've been going out in the evening to eat in air-conditioned comfort. The worst part of the heat is that I don't feel like doing anything except lie around and read.

I'm also fighting a cold.

I suppose that I can't complain too much because this summer's been unusually cool. I'm hoping that this is the last hot weather that we'll have this summer.

I think that the interview on Monday went okay, although the hiring manager was tough to read. A recruiter for another company called me to check my availability for an interview, but I haven't heard from her since then.
