My Mom recommended Archer Farms pasta dinners that Target sells. Tonight, I tried the Spaghetti Pesto. It was delicious. It was easy to make; just boil the pasta and sauce for 10 minutes. The only thing is that it's kind of expensive--over two dollars--but next time maybe I could make some soup and eat only half of it at a sitting.

I have Tortellini Alfredo and Four-Cheese Risotto yet to try.

To the under-appreciated Target employee reading this:

I am writing in regards to a package of Archer Farm's Tortellini Alfredo Pasta Side (Made with Ricotta cheese) that I received as a stocking stuffer on 25 December 2007. Emblazoned on the front of the package, and every other side of it is the proclamation "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed," but after consuming said pasta I was incredibly dissatisfied.

My first clue that this product was sub par manifested itself as I was cooking it. Following the instructions verbatum, mind you, I boiled 1 AND 3/4 cups of unsalted water (h2o)--perhaps these instructions were misleading? You'll notice in my description I said "1 AND 3/4 cups" yet on the package, it instructs you to use 1-3/4. Could dyslexia have struck again? Did the package mean 3/4 TO 1 cup of water? That is the only plausible explanation for this culinary abomination. I take issue with this because unlike the boxes empty promises of a thick sauce after 20 minutes of simmering at MEDIUM heat, it was akin to eating cheerios in water. There were carbs, there was water.

Oh how there was water. On top of all the water, and lack of viscous cheesy glory, roughly 63% of the tortellini shells had ruptured while it was cooking--causing a sumptuous leakage reminiscent of the Cosco Busan accident. Rather than oil killing birds however, it was an breeding ground for processed cheese, starches, and water to destroy everything I hold dear about Italy.

As you can see at this point, you ruined Christmas. I am not an unreasonable man, however I feel that your company has ammends to make. I request either something delicious in the mail to restore my faith that Archer Farms can in fact guarantee satisfaction, or a public apology and admittal from the president of Target Brands, Inc. that Archer Farms is unable to deliver said satisfaction.

Thank you for your time, and don't forget to ask your boss for a raise--you earned it!

Sincerely,
Colin S. Nelson
