Next week promises to be interesting

This morning, I had another set of interviews at the mainframe company (at which I had phone interviews last week). I had face-to-face interviews with several people at the local office. The last person with which I interviewed said that she heard some of my other interviewers talking and they were positive. She liked my writing samples and said that I was a good writer. So I'm cautiously optimistic. They said that they'd be in touch next week.
The HR person at the other place that I interviewed called me on Tuesday. I missed the call, left her a message on Wednesday, and haven't heard from her the rest of the week.
Tonight, I saw Elizabeth: the Golden Age. Boy is it getting panned on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it works as escapism. The scenery and costumes are stunning.
I plan to have a quiet weekend in which I don't study COBOL! My mom will be in town in two weeks, which gives me incentive to get some stuff done around here.
