Because I'll need to board the cats for an extended length of time while the place is up for sale, I need to find a place to board them in which there's a space for them to roam around. (That is, I don't want them to stay in a small cage the whole time.) I have some possibilities. Somewhere along the line, I need to take time to visit the facilities.

why not remove them, and their kitty litter box when there are showings? It would be a lot cheaper.

Remove them where? Like in the car?

One of my cats is almost impossible to get into a cat carrier. I'm dreading having to get them into a carrier three times, much less many more times.

When my house was for sale, they always gave me a few hours notice before showing the house. I'd throw the varmints in their kennels, load them in the back of the car, put the litter box in the garage, and go out for coffee. When the showing was over (and it was usually less than an hour), I'd come home, and put the varmints back in the house along with their litter box.

Just trying to save you some costs. Boarding animals for an extended period of time is pretty pricey.
