Birthday

Yesterday was my (46th, groan) birthday. When I got up, my mom said, "Happy birthday!"
I said, "Happy birthday!"
Then I sheepishly said, "I'm not quite awake yet."

After I woke up and ran some errands, my mom took me out to dinner and a movie. We saw Changeling. It was well-filmed and well-acted, but the story is a real downer. (Are there any upbeat movies around?)

Mom gave me gloves and a scarf, so I'm ready for winter. Not.
