days_unfoldingOur pond already has a resident. The landscaper came by, checked the pump for the waterfall, and something jumped out of his hand into the water. It turned out to be a small frog. (I need to ask the landscaper to put a screen into the pump so that the frog won't get sucked up again.) My mom and I bought a cherry tree today. The pond area has been 90% done for a while. I'm hoping that they'll finish soon so I can post pictures!
Apparently you can get pretty good deals traveling to Europe in the dead of winter. Unfortunately I don't have the time and shouldn't spend the money....
Added: We also saw birds bathing in the pond this morning. Apparently the pond is "real" enough for the critters!
