My Sweet Girl Is Back

Harlee is back home. She had to have a few teeth extracted, so she's on pain meds. She started meowing as soon as she smelled me at the vet -;) She was really agitated when she first got home, but now she's settled down on her chair and is half-dozing.

Oh--I forgot to mention that I left some moist food out for her, but she doesn't seem interested in it at this point. Zara will gladly eat it if Harlee doesn't; Zara was almost doing back flips when I gave her some.

My Kat Kabal gets wet food once a week, and they're always on their best behavior when they know they're about to score ;p

If I didn't give the Fat Mango wet food everyday...... who knows what he might do! I just know it wouldn't be good, or pretty.

I use wet food to manipulate them, such as when I want to close them into a room when we're having a delivery. I also give them wet food on holidays. Zara hasn't had much wet food, so she goes crazy over it.

She seems to be getting better. She's eaten a fair amount of food, and even groomed herself a little.

Aw, sweet kitty. Do you have to give her Buprenex injections? That's usually easiest.

I put my cats on an all-wet food diet because dry food's so fattening. They've both been doing great on it, plus I save on the cost of dry foods.

I'm so glad your reunion was sweet! I hope ya'll have loads of cuddles and that Harlee heals really well.

I'm giving her Buprenorphine orally every 12 hours. (Hmm, I just noticed the "every 12 hours" part. I guess I'll need to get up very early in the morning to give her the meds. But then I can go back to sleep.)

She's doing great! She has eaten a fair amount of food, and even tried grooming herself a little.
