I'm pretty sure that I didn't get the job. They made a decision at the end of the day on which I interviewed, and the hiring manager was acting awkward when he drove me to the airport on Friday, so that's that. (He told me that they wouldn't contact me if I was not selected.) I wasn't thrilled with the university or the town that it was in--they were both okay--so maybe it's just as well. They aren't keeping current with the current trends in the field. At least it gave me good interview practice.
I ran into a problem with Windows 7 when I was doing my cataloging test, so I need to get my act together and upgrade my computer so I can get familiar with Windows 7 quirks. I also probably should join Toastmasters again to get some practice on thinking on my feet. I should get more exercise to keep my energy levels up. And I spent part of today looking for job leads, getting back on the horse as it were. I received really good feedback on my resume at the conference, so that should help. And I really, really need to finish my research project! Etc.
So overall, the trip was worthwhile. It's good to be home, though. The kitties have been snuggly and I spent some time communing with the plants in the garden. And I can do laundry! (I'm sure that I was driving the hotel maids crazy by hand-washing mass quantities of clothes and draping them over the shower rod.)
